Wedge prisms can individually deflect a laser beam at a set angle, or when paired, they enable beam steering. A single prism's deflection is measured in Diopters, with 1 diopter shifting the beam 1cm at a 1m distance. Two prisms can form an anamorphic pair for beam shaping, or when rotated independently, they can steer a beam within a circle defined by 4θ, where θ is the single prism's deviation. This is often used in imaging to scan a beam to different locations.
