Wedge prisms can individually deflect a laser beam at a set angle, or when paired, they enable beam steering. A single prism's deflection is measured in Diopters, with 1 diopter shifting the beam 1cm at a 1m distance. Two prisms can also form an anamorphic pair for beam shaping, or be rotated independently to steer a beam within a 4 circle, useful for scanning in imaging applications.
