The SPK-PLL-150W-2X300PNL-240AL-DNS-M1 from Larson Electronics is a
Solar LED Street Light that is a robust, versatile fixture suitable for a wide range
of commercial spaces, including parking lots, roadways, outdoor venues and
permanent work sites. The 150-watt unit delivers 18,000 lumens during use, with an operating
lifespan of over 70,000+ hours. This system includes two 300-watt solar panels, a 120 V inverter and control box.
The
SPK-PLL-150W-2X300PNL-240AL-DNS-M1 is recommended for outdoor illumination in remote areas and locations with limited access to infrastructure. This solar-powered LED light is supported by two 300-watt solar panels, a control box and a 120V inverter. Pole mounting components for the solar panels and control box are included for seamless installations.
Solar Panels: This system consists of two 300-watt solar panels. Each panel features a 60-cell module and is ideal for outdoor installations. A 120V inverter is available with the unit. The panels are capable of powering the LED light for up to 10 hours per night.
LED Light: The
SPK-PLL-150W-2X300PNL-240AL-DNS-M1 is designed to meet the standards of todayâ„¢s commercial businesses
and projects. LED drivers and electrical components found in this luminary are
hard mounted to the die-cast housing for optimal heat sinking and operating
efficiency. It is compatible with the following input voltages: 120-277V AC.
This 150-watt unit emits light at 18,000 lumens with a 120 lumens-per-watt ratio
and a CRI rating above 80. A day/night sensor provides automatic operation for the LED light.
With
a lifespan of over 70,000+ hours, the LED light features an active
heat dissipating system that offers even heat distribution and lower temperature
rise. The aluminum fins design also helps to disperse heat and promote a long,
reliable LED life. This light comes with the following beam configuration
options: 10°, 30°, 60°, 110°, Down Light, Type II M, Type III M, Type IV M, Type
V S, Tunnel or Wide Flood. When it comes to mounting, Square Pole, Round Pole or
Pole Top options are available. The cast aluminum arm includes bolt guides,
allowing for easy positioning of the fixture during installation to pole.
Standard single carton packaging of housing, square pole arm and round pole
adapter provide contractor-friendly installation.
During operation, the outdoor
fixture is suitable for ambient environments, ranging between -25°C ~ +60°C. The
SPK-PLL-150W-2X300PNL-240AL-DNS-M1 is constructed from one-piece, die-cast aluminum housing with high
quality outdoor powder coating finish and shock-resistant lenses. This
weatherproof fixtureâ„¢s black housing is sealed from moisture and harmful
environmental contaminants, making it extremely resilient against rain, fade and
wear. The luminary is ETL listed for wet locations, IP65 rated and ROHS
compliant. Inside the fixture, the LEDs comply with IESNA LM-79 and LM-80
standards.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have
no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or
transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of
gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive
materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant
illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there
is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in
lamp life.
LED
lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide
and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or
mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is
wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb
type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting
methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained
in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the
environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly
special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type
lamps.
Wiring: The SPK-PLL-150W-2X300PNL-240AL-DNS-M1 comes with 10 feet of 16/3 cable with a twist-lock plug between the LED light and control box. A 10-foot PV cable is available between the control box and solar panels.
Light Mounting: When it
comes to mounting the LED light, square pole, round pole, pole top, and trunnion mounting
options are available. The round pole mount works for 3-5" OD round poles, and
is installed directly to the side of the pole via a U bolt mounting system. The
square pole mount works for 3" x 3" thru 5" x 5" square poles, and mounts to the
side of square poles via a U bolt mounting system. This square pole mount can
also be used as a flat surface mount / wall mount bracket for interior or
exterior walls. The pole top / trunnion mount is adjustable for the angle, and
can be cinched onto 1.5-2" OD poles (nominal OD up to 2-3/8"). The trunnion /
U-bracket mount provides the most flexibility in terms of adjustment, allowing
operators to rotate the mounting bracket to reach the desired orientation, then
adjust the light fixture within the trunnion to reach the desired angle for the
light distribution. This mount commonly is mounted to walls, flat surfaces, mast
heads, and square tube poles. The cast aluminum arm includes bolt guides,
allowing for easy positioning of the fixture during installation to pole.
Standard single carton packaging of housing, and the mounts provide
contractor-friendly installation.
Solar Panel Mounting: Both solar panels come with a mounting kit that allows the units to be secured on poles measuring 2" - 6" in diameter. Each mounting kit includes four pole clamps and hardware. Mounting rails attach to the back of the solar panels for stability. Pole clamps are used to secure the railing components holding the solar panels to the pole. Operators can adjust the angle of the panel by moving the bottom pole clamp up and down until the desired position is achieved. After adjustment, simply tighten the bolts and clamps to complete the installation. The panels can either be mounted on the same pole together or on separate poles. The control box is compatible with pole mounting requirements.
Applications:
Parking lots, roadways, street lighting, car dealerships, stadium,
tunnel lighting, outdoor sports areas, campuses, parks, advertising light,
commercial spaces, permanent work sites, concert venues and other applications
that require brilliant illumination for extended periods of time.
