316 / 316L stainless steel is a common commercial alloy. Very high corrosion resistance. More-so than 304. Also high strength. Easily formed, rolled, machined, or welded. Non magnetic. 316 is used in industrial, chemical, and salt water based applications. Note: Stainless steel plate products from the mill are raw and unpolished. They often contain pits, minor rust spots, pen markings, and scratches due to the handling process (none are acceptable reasons for return). Printed material test reports (MTR's) for each plate are included in the box. Caution; heavy, sharp edges from cutting process, handle with care.
