Toray's TGP-H-090 is a carbon fiber composite paper, ideal as a catalyst backing layer for fuel cells, electrolyzers, batteries, and other electrochemical devices, once a microporous layer (MPL) is applied. The carbon paper substrate is 280 microns thick, with the MPL at 60 microns, totaling approximately 340 microns. It features a PTFE treatment of around 8-9% and MPL PTFE content of approximately 33-35%. This product serves as a cost-effective alternative to traditional woven carbon cloth Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL) materials.
