- The DD design philosophy is to prioritize the maximization of total efficiency: converting raw power to clean sound, while managing the intense heat created by this conversion. Given this mandate, the new 600 “f” revision receives a vented aluminum voice coil insert and vented, finned, aluminum heatsink to conduct and transfer heat away from the subwoofer’s most vulnerable components. As the increased power handling will undoubtedly bring with it greater demand for excursion, a taller surround, double stitched to a fiberglass loaded, non-pressed cone, adjoined to a voice coil featuring increased winding length with DD’s proven double layer spider, offers increased Xmax and elegant styling
- The heat sink features beautifully carved, polished aluminum DD logos, and the motor is wrapped in a rubber boot with an all new embossed design.
