THE most beautiful 1940's dress! Heart shaped neckline. Sleeveless. Fitted at the waist with "boning" for shape and structure. Delightful flared skirt with scalloped hem. Shaped to resemble a daffodil. The skirt has three layers - a taffeta ivory bottom layer/lining, a stiffer ivory chiffon layer to the skirt, and the top floaty chiffon layer. Bold dramatic color and pattern. Zips up the side.
This has no tags but the previous owner told me it was purchased from a local "couture"' dress maker in the 1940's.
Condition: This is in good but not great condition. The ONLY flaws that I could find are spots of discoloration throughout. I had this dry cleaned but a deeper cleaning method might get the spots out. Please see detail shots. You can't even see the spots unless you are looking for them, but they are there. Price adjusted for flaws. Otherwise, structurally in excellent condition.
Measurements: bust: 36"; waist: 28"; hips: 46"; length: 37". NO give. Fits a modern size small.
