Over two days, students will learn to shape and complete a fur felt hat, choosing from styles like classic fedora, cloche, or fascinator. Using velour medium weight fur felt and traditional millinery techniques, students will block their hat bodies on vintage wood blocks on Friday evening. On Saturday, they'll learn various brim finishes, create a grosgrain sweatband, and add decorative trim. This workshop suits beginners and those looking to advance their millinery skills. Hand sewing skills are recommended but not required. Students must purchase their own hat body, with ordering details provided upon registration. The workshop runs Friday, January 31st, 5:00 - 8:00 PM, and Saturday, February 1st, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break on Saturday.
