A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a combination of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschussseite is marked with a red ring, while the Gut-Seite should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without extra force. If it doesn't, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss-Seite can only be screwed in by hand up to two turns. If it goes further, the thread is not up to par. All parts and tools are calibrated at 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a Werkskalibrierschein upon request, with independent lab calibration following DIN, ISO, and ANSI standards on IAC-Gewindescanner.
