A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn, distinguished by a red ring on the latter. The former should screw into a cut thread of a workpiece manually, without extra force. If not, the thread fails to meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The latter can screw in up to two turns manually; more than that indicates a flawed thread. A reference temperature of 20°C applies to all parts. VÖLKEL offers a Werkskalibrierschein upon request, with independent lab calibration following set norms (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescannern.
