A steel braided cable for superior strength is used to lift the umbrella and a threaded coupling is used to secure the umbrella together into one sturdy, wobble-free center pole. The center pole has a 1.5 inch outside diameter pole that fits into most umbrella bases (base sold separately). The frame is made of aluminum (8 aluminum ribs) with durable powder coated finish and features a solid resin hub and finial that won't crack, a cast metal crank housing and a 37 inch bottom pole. Recommended for residential use with shade coverage up to 54 inch table.
