A dropping funnel usually features a graduated cylindrical tube or pear-shaped bulb as the main body.With female ground glass joint at top which can be stopped by a penny head joint stopper.The lower part of the funnel has a glass or PTFE stopcock to control the flow and a standard taper male joint.The dripping tube extends a bit below the lower joint. Separatory funnel with lower joint can be used as a dropping funnel. This pressure equalizing funnel is a special type of dropping funnel which are used to add liquid slowing.Comparing to the common cylindrical dropping funnel,it features an additional glass tube that begins from top of the cylindrical body, continues to the lower tube, in the space below the stopcock and above the male ground glass joint.With the tube,the liquid from the funnel drops smooth without having to remove the stopper.The pressure equalizing funnel is perfect to add exact amounts of liquid to the receiving flask.With standard taper glass outer joint at Top and inner joint at bottom, with a high vacuum valve upper on the bottom glass joint.
