Along the way, the aspiring rumrunner encounters menacing slumlords, a cruel rabbi, and enough comedic obstacles to rival the Marx Brothers. As Benny relives these moments while searching for his mother, he realizes that this was just another day in the life of a boy yearning for his mother's affection.
