The Hub, in its generic form, initiates a daisy-chain connection among sensors and supplies them with 12 VDC. It communicates with sensors via CANbus and relays data to the Controller using TCP/IP over Ethernet. The Hub can identify various errors and alarm conditions, enabling self-diagnosis. Each Hub can accommodate up to 12 sensors. There are two Hub versions: Hub - PoE, which gets power from a PoE ethernet switch and supports two sensor chains, and Hub - Direct Power, which receives 12 VDC from a DC power supply and supports one sensor chain.
