For the second year running, the Lionel team participated in the Amherst Railway Society Hobby Show at the Easter States Exposition Fairgrounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts, where thousands of enthusiasts and fans gather annually. The 2016 event (January 30-31) drew close to 20,000 attendees, making it a resounding success. In a 20' x 30' booth at the Mallary building, Lionel displayed various products on cardboard play stations, allowing children to experience being an engineer. Popular among kids were The Polar Express LionChief Ready-to-Run set and Thomas and Friends "Thomas" LionChief Ready-to-Run set. Enthusiasts could explore the latest American Flyer FlyerChief Berkshires, docksiders, and ES44AC, while three-rail fans could check out LionChief Plus engines, including FT sets Camelback's, and learn about the upcoming Universal Remote release. A high-end legacy wall showcased 21" passenger cars, N5 Caboose, and more. We look forward to returning to West Springfield in 2017. Until then!
