Marion Donaldson vintage cotton dress. Fits like 14

Lovely vintage shirtwaister style cotton dress. Checked pattern. Thick fabric that drapes well. Very Toast-like. I was sure it was labelled 18 but there is no label now but it fits like 14/16. Measurements below. Armpit to armpit 19.5 inches Waist from side to side 17 inches Bodice length 17 inches neck to waist. Skirt length from waist to hem 29.5 inches. Collar. Short sleeves with cuffs. Pockets in the skirt on both sides. Decorative breast pockets with metal loops. Fabric loops for a belt. It buttons to just below the waist (a really good design this, because it’s easy to get into the dress but you haven’t got buttons all the way down the skirt that might come undone when you walk) It used to have shoulder pads - the Velcro fixing for them is still there. Really well made - good seam allowance, interfacings, a hook at the waist - all that. No damage. No storage odour and from a smoke free house.
