Shigarakiyaki (Shigarakiyaki) is a pottery made in Shigaraki, Yamagato, Shiga Prefecture, and has a history of over 1200 years as one of the six-kilns in Japan. It was named as a traditional craft from the country in 1976 (1976). Loochimon (registered trademark) comes from the word of Shigaraki's craftsmen used to mean "Fugawari Mono". Dimensions and patterns are handmade, so there may be slight differences in size.
