Maypole 12V 7 way bypass relay with audible buzzer trailer and caravan towing electrics. A 7 way bypass relay is connected directly to the vehicles lighting circuits to control the lights on a trailer and caravan. The relays do not put any extra load onto the vehicles lighting system. The relays also feature a built in audible buzzer that monitors the trailer and caravan indicators. All bypass relays can be powered using either the battery or the fuse box. This towing bypass relay is compatible with vehicles that use multiplexed (shared-signal) wiring systems for position/brake and position/fog lights—as long as these signals are still present as physical wires at the rear light clusters. For other lighting functions, such as indicators, the relay requires separate signal wires running to each rear light cluster. It will not work with vehicles that use fully digital or network-based systems (such as CANBUS control) with no direct rear signal wiring.
