This is the MAKOTO sweater.

A masterpiece representing the brand, the "MAKOTO" felted sweater. This model was born as an homage to Makoto Tsuji, a poet and mountaineer, and embodies the philosophy and aesthetic of Mountain Research.

Its most distinctive feature is the unique texture created by heavily felting tightly knit wool. By felting the knit fabric, it becomes wind-resistant, functioning almost like an outer layer despite being a knit. The surface has a matte texture with minimal fuzz, and the material conforms to the body the more it's worn, allowing for enjoyable aging.

This is the early specification, the pocketless type. Unlike later models, it has a more minimal and stoic appearance, and is now discontinued, making it a rare item.

With its generous size balance, it can be worn over shirts and cut-and-sews, and layering with innerwear is also possible during colder seasons. It
