A serious selvedge denim set-up MADE IN Okayama, JAPAN is being released.
We have carefully selected 13.75oz high-quality selvedge denim produced in Okayama Prefecture, known as the "hometown of denim." From among these, ALOUND has chosen denim fabric made with Zimbabwean cotton, known as the "jewel of cotton."

Since Zimbabwean cotton is mostly hand-picked, it is less likely to damage the fibers, resulting in high-quality cotton. Zimbabwean cotton has long, strong, and soft fibers. This results in smooth and durable items.

We are also particular about the sewing, using threads that change over time with the fabric, and we sew with vintage sewing machines from 30 to 50 years ago to reproduce the atmosphere of the time. By using a Union Special sewing machine, we give the denim a lifelike expression.

All buttons, rivets, and zippers used are reproductions of vintage items. We have also selected laurel leaf buttons and punched rivets, which are often seen in wartime models, that will change over time.

We are also extremely particular about the aging process. You can feel this just by looking at the item's appearance. By having craftsmen with high skills and sensibilities handle the processes, we produce processed jeans one by one with the same quality as the collection samples.
We have repeatedly used shaving and dyeing to express the elegance, cleanliness, and luxury that can only be found in jeans processed by hand, even within the realistic expression of jeans that have been worn for many years. We spend many times the usual amount of time and effort to create these, resulting in an item that expresses denim like a work of art, with a different flavor from the expression of jeans that have faded with wear.
