A special unit produced by RITTO x GRIGRI covers the famous Jimmy Cliff song!

A session unit of local musicians, brought together at the urging of GRIGRI, who supports the Okinawan reggae scene, features RITTO, a rapper who also represents Okinawa, on vocals for this limited 7"!

GRIGRI, who began his career in the 1990s as a selector/MC with KING RYUKYU and has been involved in a wide range of activities since becoming independent, including supporting Jamaican artists visiting Okinawa, is taking a new approach to the Okinawan reggae scene with this cover of Jimmy Cliff's well-known song "Harder They Come"! The vocals feature Ritto, a rapper from Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, who is also active as part of the hip-hop crew Akatsuchi. This is a great work colored by the tough performance of talented local musicians, full of a tropical mood! The B-side includes an instrumental version featuring steelpan. Recording & mixing is by Harikuyamaku of Tower Of Dub studio, known for the "Island Dub" series and his remix work of Okinawan folk songs.
