By hand, the thread gauge should not screw onto the workpiece's thread more than two turns without extra force. If it does, the thread fails to meet the desired standards (rejected). Rejected gauges are marked red. All parts and gauges are calibrated at 20°C. Upon request, VÖLKEL provides a factory calibration certificate (price on inquiry). Independent lab calibration follows set norms (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC thread scanners.

• Hand Tightening Limit: The Gewindelehrring should not screw onto the workpiece's thread more than two turns by hand without extra force
• Excessive Turning Indicator: If the Lehrring can be screwed onto the thread more than two turns, the thread does not meet the desired standards (Ausschuss)
• Identification: Ausschuss-Lehrringe are marked in red
• Reference Temperature: The reference temperature for the workpieces and gauges is 20°C
• Certification: VÖLKEL can provide a factory calibration certificate upon request (price available on inquiry)
