A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a combination of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn, with the latter marked by a red ring. The good side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without excessive force. If it doesn't, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can be screwed in by hand up to two turns without excessive force. If it goes further, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards. A reference temperature of 20°C applies to the workpieces and gauges. VÖLKEL can provide a Werkskalibrierschein upon request, with calibration done in an independent lab following set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescanner.
