A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn is marked with a red ring. The Gut side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand (without extra force). If not possible, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side should screw in no more than two turns by hand. If it goes further, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards. A reference temperature of 20° Celsius applies to the workpieces and gauges. VÖLKEL can provide a factory calibration certificate upon request. Calibration is done in an independent lab following set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescannern.
