This hand-carved Showa-period set represents a traditional Ekashi (elder male) and Menoko (female) pair and is closely related to Nipopo-style Ainu carvings, often produced as culturally significant folk objects and regional souvenirs. Carved from solid wood and hand-painted with expressive facial features and traditional motifs.
