Rear Control Arm Mount Skids. Fits 3rd Gen Toyota 4runner

One set of Rear Control Arm Mount Skids to protect the stock control arm mounts on a 3rd generation 4Runner. Includes one left hand and one right hand skid. All steel construction, grade 8 hardware, full bead welds, 1/4" laser cut plate steel. Lotus Development RCAMS (Rear Control Arm Mount Skid) plate for Toyota 4Runners 1996 - 2002 Direct bolt on, no welding or removal of the lower control arm needed to install. Skids are powder coated in black. Factory Rear Lower Control Arm Mounts for the 4Runners are made of sheet steel and while built well for normal conditions are susceptible to deformation on impact when rock crawling. Factory mounts are welded to the frame and the common remedy for damaged mounts is to cut off the old ones and weld on new ones from a salvaged vehicle frame. We designed these skids to bolt on without having to remove the lower control arm or weld. There's only one bolt per skid plate making installation easy. On undamaged factory mounts they typically go on in about 15 minutes. Our skids have been engineered with relief cuts to allow the skid to snug up against the stock mounts and prevent rattling (Patent pending). One set contains both a left and a right skid as well as the mounting hardware. Materials and construction 100% USA made.
