spares or repair 60gb ps3 console backwards compatible

Spares or repair. Red standby light > turn on green light with fan noise > then yellow light > green > yellow > green > yellow etc. Won't turn on it just does that. It is a cechc03 model which is backwards compatible with ps1 and ps2 games. The case has been cut around the vents, no warranty stickers so it has been opened up before and the 60gb hdd looks to have been replaced with a 40gb hdd, i can only guess, to test for faulty drive. Surely got to be worth this for parts alone ie psu, disc drive, internal cables and what not unless you can revive it to which case its worth a lot more. Certainly past my area of expertise. Was hoping it would work as I got it as "untested" but it doesn't and ive just ended up getting a ps3 superslim for reliability in the end. I did enquire about frankenstein modding for it too but it costs too much for me to get done at the moment 😢 though he seemed to think that it could be done ok after describing the symptoms. No returns due to the nature of the device and describing it as spares or repair. The listing is just for the console only, as previously mentioned, I ended up getting a ps3 superslim so needed to keep the controller and hdmi cable for that. I do have a power lead though if needed. (Ive also put medium package size to save any risk of ending up overweight after wrapping and boxing as theyre chunky old consoles.) Thanks
