Replacing your Galvanized Boat Trailer Axle has never been easier! Manufactured by Autoflex Knott, this Galvanized Axle comes equipped with Pre-installed Galvanized Idler Hubs as well as a brake flange so you can install Drum or Disc Brakes to your Trailer with ease. This Axle has Adjustable Spring Seat Centers as well, so we've included 2 Galvanized Bolt-On Spring Seats as a free addition with all Knott Spring Axles to make fixing your trailer even easier. Knott brand components are always high-quality and built-to-last. This Axle is no different, it's made of 2x2 steel tubing that is 1/4" thick, and then hot-dipped galvanized for excellent corrosion resistant properties. This galvanized Trailer Axle has a Weight Capacity of 3,750lbs. The included pre-installed hubs contain the standard 1 3/8" x 1 1/16" bearing combination (Bearing Numbers 68149 and 44649) that is commonly seen in trailer hubs of this weight capacity, and the grease Seal has in inner diameter of 1.719". The hubs have the common 5 on 4.5 inch bolt pattern that is used on most 5 bolt trailer tires and wheels. The Hub Face Measurement for a new axle is critically important, it is taken from the outside of one hub to the outside of the hub on the opposite end of the axle. This measurement tells you where the center of your tires will sit on the trailer, so when getting a new axle it's best to get one that has a similar hub face measurement to your current trailer axle. This Axle's Hub Face Measurement is equal to 85". The Spring Center Measurement is Equally important, that's the measurement from the center of 1 leaf spring to the center of the leaf spring on the opposite side of the trailer. This is the mounting point for your trailer axle, so it's important that you get a new axle that can fit in that same location on your trailer, otherwise the axle will not line up properly and won't be able to be installed. This Axle fits Trailers that have a Spring Center Measurement of 67" to 72.5"
