From the official website:

As long as we continue to create, scraps are inevitable. Can't we use them for something? Through constant thought and discussion, connections were made, and "Shinmeshigami" (New Female Paper) was born from tamaki niime's fabric scraps. Introduced by <WACCA>, who plans and designs for craft and handmade exhibitions, including the Kyoto "dialogue," the scraps were pulverized at <Ishikawa Soken> in Shizuoka. Then, through a connection with Mr. Takahiro Hakusui, the founder of <Unagi no Nedoko>, the pulverized scraps were made into paper at <Nakamura Seishisho> in Yame, Fukuoka. Finally, they were crafted into notebooks and memo pads at <Nick> in Asago, Hyogo. The colors of the scraps appear in the paper, and the threads that remain here and there look like patterns. It feels softer than regular paper, with a touch of cotton. See it, touch it, use it – this is the form of "circulation" that tamaki niime has arrived at. Like the fabrics, the paper born from scraps is also one-of-a-kind.

Instead of discarding them as waste,
we hope to utilize used paper and clothing
as new resources.
With this in mind, the scraps are pulverized at <Ishikawa Soken>,
and paper is made at <Nakamura Seishisho>,
which mainly produces Japanese paper, such as shoji paper.
Since they usually produce white Japanese paper,
Shinmeshigami is made during a limited time before the machinery is cleaned
so that the colors of the scraps do not affect the paper.
Cut at <Nick> in Asago, Hyogo, the notebooks and memo pads are completed.
Postcards are handmade in-house, combining them with scraps.
These works are reborn through the hands of many people.
