This album covers the period from The Quarrymen era (1958) to "Beatles for Sale" (1964), featuring a total of 60 tracks, including many valuable rare tracks, speeches, and John's demo tapes. It also includes "Free as a Bird," a new song completed 25 years later with the other three members adding instruments and chorus!

It includes songs recorded during the Quarrymen era, recordings made for the Decca Records audition, and even songs featuring Stuart Sutcliffe, who was the bassist in the early days, and Pete Best, the previous drummer.

② 『ANTHOLOGY 2』

This album focuses on the mid-period, from "Help!" to "Magical Mystery Tour," especially the masterpieces "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," and includes unreleased studio session recordings and live recordings, including the Nippon Budokan performance, from 1965 to 1968.

"Real Love," included as a new song on this album, is an unreleased new song by John, similar to "1," and was completed with the other three members adding instruments and chorus based on the demo!

③ 『ANTHOLOGY 3』

This album includes many rare and valuable recordings, such as alternate takes, unreleased songs, and sessions from 1968 to 1970, covering the period from "The White Album" to "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be," in chronological order.

Similar to the two new songs on "1, 2," "Now and Then" was planned to be included on this album, but the noise could not be completely removed. As a substitute, "A Beginning," a famous instrumental by George Martin, was included.

Later, "Now and Then" was released in 2023 and became a worldwide hit!
