Vintage Mid-Century Intricately Designed 3D three-Dimensional Spanish Damascene miniature galleon ship brooch pin. This pin has decorative metalwork, featuring intricate patterns inlaid with gold and silver. Brooch measures 1 1/2” by 1 5/8”. Vintage 1940s - 1960s
Delightful little galleon ship, Made in Spain as a tourist trinket. These are vintage, from the forties and in beautiful condition. So cute, so lifelike.
Dimensional Spanish Galleon Discovery ship brooch pin is the perfect nautical jewelry choice for her or for him!! The sails each feature crosses which is representative of ships used during the Age of Discovery. Generally, the damascene finish is made with deep incised patterns cut into steel and then 24 karat yellow gold and silver foil is hammered into the cut designs. The black niello background comes from a bluing solution which causes the oxidation.
