W. M. Widdop refers to William Widdop, the 19th‑century Yorkshire clockmaker whose name later became the foundation of Widdop & Co., one of the UK’s longest‑running giftware and clockmaking companies. 1883 reflects the year the company was established from research. Founded in 1883 in Brighouse, Yorkshire. WMWiddop can be clearly seen. The P takes the form of what looks like a sword. The hip flask has no indication of tarnishing but has some scuffs to the bottom and top. No dents. It can be engraved. Perhaps a valentines gift?
